St. Norbert Priory,Mumbai
The Norbertine Community in Mumbai Archdiocese was founded in the year 1964. The Dutch Norbertine Missionary Fathers, J. Lamers, and Luke Van, O. Praem, together with Indian Norbertine A. Prakash started this mission on May 1, 1967. Their mission was to take care of Pastoral, Educational and Social needs of this place. Because of their commitment to the mission and vision, this community has been alike to do Christian service to the marginalized people in Mumbai, particularly in Bandra East. God has blessed this vibrant and dedicated community to extend their services through its Parish School and Social Welfare Centres over the years. Their ardent and tireless effort with God’s Grace helped them to open another Parish and social service Centre at Navi Mumbai in the year 1992.
At present there are 11 members in this Dependant House. The Confreres hail from different parts of India.
